As the local congress organizer, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The Congress will be held in Kaohsiung from November 13-16, 2019. Kaohsiung is the 5th Best City to visit in 2018 suggested by Lonely Planet. It will be a unique gathering of all major ocular inflammation societies with their world-renowned members as active participating delegates. The Scientific Committee will be organizing robust scientific sessions, covering intraocular and extra ocular inflammatory and infectious disorders, including recent advances in ocular imaging, clinical and surgical treatment of recalcitrant ocular inflammations, evolving infectious uveitis entities, as well as current understanding of the underlying pathogenesis of disorders such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Moreover, the program will include surgical interventions in uveitis complications such as secondary cataract, medical and surgical management of glaucoma, retinopathy and others. 

Kaohsiung, a city of glamour, not only has unique features of mountain, sea, river, and port, but also possesses a rich culture and beautiful cityscape. Facing Taiwan Strait on the west and Bashi Channel on the south, Kaohsiung is a beautiful and modern metropolis located in southern Taiwan as well as the second largest city of this island.
