Guidelines for IOIS 2021 Presentations

GUIDELINES SPEAKERS

pre-recorded videos

Thank you for your participation as speaker at the IOIS 2021 Congress.
All presentations are pre-recorded followed with a live Q&A at the end of the session. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-RECORDED SESSIONS:
File type: mp4 H264, full HD resolution - or - webm file
Duration: please check the allocated time of your presentation (see scientific program). 

The duration of the supplied video should not exceed the allocated time. 
Videos that are longer will not be accepted and you will be asked to resupply.

UPLOADING / SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO ON THE UPLOAD PLATFORM:
Please follow this link to upload your video securely

Please make sure you enter your video ID (following the naming convention) in the message box. 
Please name and save your presentation as follows:
   Room_Date_Time_FirstName+Name
   Room > R1, R2 or R3
   Day > T=Thursday, F=Friday, SAT=Saturday, SUN=Sunday
   Time > 14.00 > 1400 (do'nt use full stop)
   First Name + Name > John Doe
   For example R1_F_1400_JDOE.mp4

RECORDING TOOLS YOU CAN USE:
- Zoom, 
- powerpoint
- PANOPTO:  A free to use online recording tool (www.panopto.com) 

Please keep in mind of a "Blind Spot" on your powerpoint slides, for picture-in-picture recordings (read more in the self recording instructions).

REHEARSAL / TRAINING SESSION:
All speakers and moderators are invited to participate in a testrun/rehearsal session. We recommend everyone to participate. This will allow us to make sure your internet will work fine and allows you to familiarize yourself with the Virtual Platform. 
This will help us to deliver a quality congress. 

We have scheduled three days with three time options per day and we hope that you will manage to take part in at least one of them. 
Rehearsal day 1: November 29, 2021 from 8-9hr or 12-13hr or 17-18hr
Rehearsal day 2: November 30, 2021 from 8-9hr or 12-13hr or 17-18hr
Rehearsal day 3: December 01, 2021 from 8-9hr or 12-13hr or 17-18hr

TIMEZONE
All indicated times for the IOIS congress are EET - East European Time (Greece)


GUIDELINES E-POSTERS



An electronic poster (e-Poster) is a poster in Powerpoint format 16:9
The powerpoint presentation may contain a maximum of 5 slides. 
Videos and animations need to be embedded in the Powerpoint and must be set to play automatically!

Save the powerpoint file and send as pdf file.
