TitleEfficacy and Safety of Adalimumab for Chronic/Relapsing Ocular Inflammation in Patients with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Disease
PurposeTo investigate efficacy and safety of adalimumab (ADA) treatment for chronic and/or relapsing Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease (VKH)
MethodsFor 64 VKH patients who received ADA treatment, the medical records were retrospectively investigated.
ResultsThere was no significant difference in BCVA in LogMAR or LFP between the initiation of ADA and 6 months later. However, the SFCT, ICG score, and PSL amounts were significantly decreased to at 6 months later.
ConclusionIt was suggested that ADA is effective for exacerbation and recurrence of VKH refractory to conventional treatments, and is generally well tolerated with no serious adverse events.
