| Conclusion | Patients, especially adolescents, swimming in brackish waters of river nile tributaries develop unil or bil intraocular granulomatous inflammation in any part of the eye from anteriorly in the conjunctiva to posteriorly in the ciliary body and peripheral retina with serious consequences if left untreated. Patients seem to respond well to steroids (regional and systemic) with surgical debridement/ excision/ wash being a fast effective steroid sparing regimen for these patients |
