| Title | PATTERNS OF UVEITIS IN A PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL |
| Purpose | To determine the patterns, demographics and disease distribution of uveitis in a Philippine government hospital.

| Methods | This is a retrospective descriptive chart review of patients seen at the uveitis clinic in Ospital ng Makati, Philippines. One hundred eleven patients diagnosed by the uveitis consultant from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018 were included in the study. Data retrieved were used to describe and compare the sociodemographic as well as clinical characteristics of patients. Mean, standard deviation, and ranges were calculated for continuous variables. Qualitative variables were analyzed and presented using frequency distributions.

| Results | 111 patients including 46 (41.44%) males and 65 (58.55%) females, were studied. The mean age of the patients was 53.08 ± 20.48 years. Ages ranged 6-87 years old, There was a female preponderance (58.55%) with a female to male ratio of 1:1.41. Cases were bilateral in 22.52% (25/111), and unilateral in 77.47% (86/ 111). Anterior uveitis was the most commonly occurring form of uveitis at 80.2% (89/111). The most common etiology of uveitis was idiopathic at 35.13% (39/111). The most frequently occurring infectious cause was tuberculous uveitis/ presumed tuberculous uveitis at 19.8% (22/111) while for noninfectious causes was Vogt Koyanagi Harada Syndrome at 4.54% (5/111).

| Conclusion | Anterior uveitis was the most common type of uveitis in this tertiary referral center. Majority of the cases were idiopathic, The most common identified infectious disease was TB uveitis/ presumed TB uveitis. The most common noninfectious disease was Vogt Koyanagi Harada Syndrome.
